Girl Power program is designed to assist identifying girls in connecting to their true selves in an empowering, respectful, healthy, and dynamic way. The program focuses on building skills to help girls excel socially and emotionally. The groups use movement, the outdoors, skill-building activities, games, and problem-solving initiatives to aid identifying girls in developing resources to improve their ability to be responsive emotionally to themselves and others and to increase pro-social qualities in order to thrive during the upcoming teen distractions.

If your child wants to participate in BGC Battlefords (BGCB) Girl Power Program and enjoy the privileges as a participant, you have to agree that your child will respect the staff, volunteers, and the other members. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT BGCB IS A SAFE PLACE FOR ALL MEMBERS, AND IF YOUR CHILD ACTS IN A WAY THAT MAKES SOMEONE FEEL UNSAFE, THEY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. Your child will follow the rules set by the staff, and understand that if your child does not abide by these rules, they may lose their privileges as a result and may not be able to return to BGCB in the future.
